We are excited about the number of Need in Deed classrooms across Philadelphia in the 2018-2019 school year:
- This year, 140 Philadelphia public school teachers are using Need in Deed’s approach to service-learning in the classroom.
- They are reaching more than 3,600 students grades 3–8 in 57 traditional public and charter schools around the city.
- Of the 57 schools, 13 are new to Need in Deed this year.
- Thirty-four of the teachers are new to Need in Deed. But they are not new to teaching! On average, they have 11 years in the classroom.
